Inspiration within me.
Inspiration. What does it mean to you? I am inspired daily by the people I am surrounded by, but mostly whom I am surrounded with, mostly when I am by myself . Inspiration with a pocket full of sunshine, you may be wondering; Huh? Let me break it down for you. In the end inspiration can be gathered from all over. Family, friends, loved ones , social media, ect. Where does inspiration truly come from? It comes from within you. We must all carry our own inspiration, our own ray of light. In the last few years I have been heavily relying on others to “fix” myself. Yes, I have been a tad bit broken. Saying that out loud makes me realize that if it weren’t for all of the experiences in my life that broke me down a bit I would certainly not be who and where I am at this very moment, sitting here right now with the upmost respect for who I am and who I have become from all of what had once broke me. This can very easily spiral into another writing piece on a part of my journey, and as much as I love writing about it I’d like to stay on topic here. Inspiration. To be inspired is to be “of extraordinary quality, as if arising from some external creative impulse”. If you look up the word inspired, you will get that definition. My inspiration may always come from an external impulse, however my truth and where it boils down to is within my sovereign self.
We all have sparks of inspiration where we can then relate it back to some sort of experience in our lives. The moment we take our power back and claim it as our own that is the best form of inspiration we can rely on. Mix that up with a pocket full of sunshine and, BOOM! You are on fire and on a new path to being inspired. I am in no way debunking any outside sources of inspiration here. This prompt itself, the one I am writing about now, it came from someone who gave me the inspiration to write about it.
“SKY above me, EARTH below me, FIRE within me”. This is one of my absolute favorite quotes! Say it over again, say it until you really feel the meaning of this quote. It almost makes me now question if there is a difference between the two words; Inspiration and Inspired. The biggest question here is, What did you need to change in order to be inspired? And, what pushed you to gather up all that inspiration to CREATE something you were not able to create before? Sky, Earth and Fire; It is what connects us in the end, it is what connects our mind, body and spirit. Our mind, body and spirit are connected yet they are not one until we learn how to connect them within ourselves. We may gather inspiration from all sources which makes us feel inspired. It is our mind, body and spirit that makes us whole. It is where our creativity truly comes from. We all carry a pocket full of sunshine with us, sometimes we need to dig a little deeper to find it. Once you do, gather up everything around you. Be grateful for all the inspiration you received from your outside sources. Be thankful for the all the experiences that have inspired you along the way. Now go ahead and find your pocket full of sunshine and rely on the “SKY above you, EARTH below you, and the FIRE WITH YOU- that is where CREATIVITY will flow.
Love and Light, always,
Diana.
