“There is nothing in life that blooms all year long, be patient with yourself”.  -Unknown

This past Friday I came across this quote and it really made me think about a few things. The biggest factor that popped into my head was “time”. Time is of the essence. We have nothing but time. Patience is a virtue. I am sure you have heard this all before. What it boils down to is that time truly is all we have. And, the way we use it is solely up to us. Time goes by unbelievably fast and sometimes it goes by so fast that we may feel as if it were wasted. I don’t really believe it is possible to waste time. I believe that every minute of our life is used exactly how it was meant to.  Think about this; What did you do recently where you felt that you wasted your time? Even if you were sitting on your couch doing absolutely nothing you were not “wasting” your time at all. You were resting, resetting, whatever you would like to call it. Society has us so programmed to believe that we have to constantly be doing something at all times. Sometimes our mind, body and soul needs nothing at all. Sometimes we need to sit in the pleasure of sovereignty in order to understand the important things about our life. When our body is not in motion it has only one thing to rely on, and that is our thoughts and our thought processes. Does this make sense? Before I move on I would like you to think about this for a moment. Stop. Put your hands on your heart center and breath in and out deeply for four counts. Afterwards, what comes to mind? Imagine if you were constantly running around all day, everyday and never gave yourself a chance to come within. I know, it’s scary to sit with your own thoughts. The unknown is very scary!

Let’s get into this beautiful quote that I have stumbled upon. Time goes hand in hand with this quote and the reason being is that our lives are constantly dictated around time. Society has become so engulfed with time and what they are doing with it that many people are forgetting that time can never be wasted if you are spending it doing things that make you happy. Time takes time. Growth tales time. Learning a new trade takes time. Learning who we are meant to be takes time. Everything we do takes time. It takes some of us a lifetime to figure out what we need to do with our time, what we want to do with our time and what we are trading our time for. Making every second count on a level of happiness is key. If you are doing things day in and day out and you are not enjoying your time, then maybe that is why your time is considered wasted. I was about to just trash all the words and start over thinking I was going off the path of the quote. And then I realized that this has everything to do with this quote. We must be patient. We must be patient, present and aware of everything we are doing in order to bloom. It takes time to bloom. It is not something that happens overnight either. Would you like to know a little fun fact about me? I do not do anything but concentrate on myself every single morning for at least thirty minutes to an hour before starting my day. It always involves doing what I love and sipping coffee. I started this practice a long time ago. It helps regain our consciousness and brings us back to awareness.

The next time you are pondering over anything that has anything to do with your time and how it is being used, please know that every single minute of your life is a blessing and it is being used just as you need to in order to bloom. We realize things day in and day out. If you are currently stuck in a job or stuck in anything else you cannot stand, it is time to say goodbye without any regrets. We are not suppose to be unhappy. We are not suppose to constantly be sick. Did you know that our bodies are not suppose to remain sick? And, if it does and you are noticing that you are constantly sick and tired it is time for you to use your time doing something different. December’s energy is calm and magical. December is meant to keep us grounded and ready to leap into January, which is a month for new beginnings. I want you to understand that it is absolutely okay to feel as if your time is being wasted, however it is not beneficial to stay in the same cycle when you feel this way. It may just be your time to finally bloom and become who and what you truly want to be. What you thought may look very different than it did twenty years ago. And, all those years came with life lessons, growth and understanding. You are blooming and that my friend was not a waste of time.

Love and Light, Always,
