Monday Morning thoughts…
The Wisdom of Seeds.
All year round I have bird feeders set up. I sit and watch as I sip my coffee every morning in my backyard listening to the birds as they sing their tunes of joy, which brings so my joy to my soul. It is something I look forward to each day. Sometimes I find myself sitting there in wonder and lost in the wisdom that nature holds for us. It is also my happy place and a place where I know I will come up with the best ideas to write. It is my inspiration and my go-to, especially when I am feeling somewhat lost. I spent an hour or more yesterday trying to get my “Monday Morning thoughts piece together, eventually I just walked away and figured I would start over this morning and I knew something would catch my eye. Sure enough, something beautiful and absolutely amazing had caught my eye and my soul! I had something to write about…
Seeds. Did you ever wonder what came first, the seed or the flower? It is almost like the questioning of the chicken or the egg? If you think about this phenomenon, it is in fact a no-brainer and yet we are still pondering this question. Science, I am sure has proven the answer. However, I am here to speak of wisdom, our minds and the perception we receive as we sit and ponder in our own thoughts. Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall, I am out there as long as the weather allows me to be. The birds always know they will be fed all year round and in return I receive the joy they bring as they come around. This year I noticed that there were weeds and different types of grass growing all around. I was amazed at the idea; Could this really be? Could the seeds from the bird feed be producing these beautiful weeds and such? Corn husks, flowers and buds of different types all around, showing up with all its beauty. A weed is a weed, a seed a seed; the wisdom it carries is what makes it so special.
Wisdom is the journey of one step that takes us to many; the unknown. The things that make us ponder our thoughts and think wondrous visions to where our perception of an experience is leading us. Like these seeds which have turned into such beauty, they have given me more to look at, more to give my soul such joy. Wisdom is the unknown. If I didn’t let nature takes it’s course I would have ripped all the “weeds” out, like previous years. My husband was going to rip out all the weeds and we both decided to see what it will bring. I am so glad we did. Sometimes we want to control our surroundings and our environment by taking immediate action, once we let go and let the unknown show us a different way the results can be fascinating! The key word here, “can”. “Can be fascinating”. We would have never have known if we would have ripped them out.
I hope this brings you joy and it helps you with something that you are experiencing right now in your life. The unknown can be very scary. The unknown also brings us wisdom. We become wise from our experiences throughout life and even the simple acts of nature and everything around us. Think about the bird feed; feed for the birds, beautiful weeds and an amazing phenomenon that has simply given me something to write about. There is something to be said about something so little yet so mighty! Don’t let the unknown scare you away from finding out what it was meant to bring you.
Love and Light, always.
