Instead of listening to music on my walks I have started listening to podcasts instead and I will tell you why. There are a lot of people out there with some really great information and insight. Many times if you tune into what you are looking to learn it will wind up in your podcast feed and you won’t even have to search! It happened to me today and I have to share…

Today I stumbled across a really amazing podcast by Rachel Hollis. She shared her personal experiences with this subject and gave some really beautiful insight on the ins and outs of truly loving your body, NO MATTER WHAT. We go through so much in our lives that make the appearance of our bodies change from time to time and sometimes it is really hard to love our bodies. You body is a gift and it’s the only body you are getting. We must learn to love it. You have definitely heard me speak about manifestation and how our minds dictate what our reality looks like, well it is really no different when it comes down to how we perceive our bodies and what it looks like. Mostly, how we treat our bodies if we place too much negative judgment on it. Have you ever looked at a part of your body in the mirror and said to yourself, “Omg I look like I gained 5 pounds or Omg I am getting too skinny or too big”. That is judgment. We give the perception onto our bodies as being negative which causes us to not stay consistent with our eating habits and not wanting to care for our body. I have said so many times in the last five years that “I have put on weight ever since I had my thyroid removed”. When I heard this podcast today while enjoying a walk in this beautiful weather we are having here in New York in the middle of November it hit home for me. Really, really hard. I have been pretty fit my entire life. I have always consistently took care of myself, nutritionally and on an active level. So what has changed?

I am going to tell you EXACTLY what has changed. The way I look at myself and the way I speak to myself is what changed. The “I’ll start Monday” when I think a food as being “bad. There are no bad foods. It is the judgment and the negative energy that we are putting into that food that makes it badI have said, “Oh, I had my thyroid removed” or “I had five kids”. None of this really truly matters, does it? It is judgment. The mindset that I have created for myself and the judgment I have been putting on my body is what has changed. And, let me just say I have never ever in my life have done this before. Eating well and staying active on a consistent basis always came easy to me. It was my lifestyle. It was what made me feel good. I am going to highlight “feel good”. Not only did I feel good but I knew I looked good too and had absolutely no issues saying it out loud. Once you start placing positive aspects in your mind about your body your body will respond to that positivity. You will most likely not even have to think about taking care of yourself and doing WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD. Today is a good day to change my mindset and change my perspective and start truly loving my body for all the beautiful changes it has been through.

As always, I would love to hear from you!

Love and Light, Always!
