We have all been there. There has been at least one time during our lives where someone has said something and we immediately thought it was about us. Whether it was or wasn’t, it truly doesn’t matter. Other peoples opinions are just that, opinions. Staying calm and keeping quiet during these times is a true human superpower.
Maybe you were triggered in that moment by something someone said or did. It’s coming up again. It may come up again and again until you realize it’s here for you, not being done to you. Everything we stumble upon is a mirrored reflection of us.
Did you know that triggers are opportunities to let things go? Think deeply for a moment why this situation is bothering you. If we are still getting triggered by something all that means is we have a deep rooted experience that left a whole in our hearts. We need to heal our wounded soul.
How do we do this? How do we not speak up and lash out in our moments of triggered weakness? As soon as you are hit with something and you feel “uneasy”, take a deep breath. Close your eyes if you have to. Your ego needs to leave right this second. I am not kidding. Realize that, acknowledge it’s presence and tell him or her to leave. Silently, of course. It’s a mind-full practice.
The work is very important. Life coaches get a really bad rap. I know they are “coming out of the woodwork” right now. I know it seems “everyone is a life coach” these days. I get it.
I spent years working on myself. I have invested so much time and money into myself and my healing journey over the years with a coach. I needed help. It wasn’t something I was able to do on my own at the time. The work I did on myself is now my superpower. It has made me the mother I am today to my children. My children are here to change the world. They are all star seeds. I’m not your typical Momma looking to control their lives in anyway, shape or form. They needed that from me. I needed that for me in order to help them endure what they reincarnated to do.
My practice is based on my own experiences and teachings from spiritual community. Just one. She is still mentoring me today. I take classes and I read a lot. I was always a self-taught mastery of myself with many wounds to heal, even as a child. We are going to be seeing many do the same. It’s where we are being pulled.
Side note. I still get triggered. I am human, not a bot. The only difference is I know how to handle it and I know what needs to be done. We tend to learn a lot about ourselves, only if we allow that to happen.
The next time you are feeling bombarded by other’s doings just remember to seek within. Stay calm, don’t overreact in the moment and never take things too personal. We are all here to learn and grow from each other. Your superpower is within you.
Until next time…
Love & Light, Always!
