Monday Morning Thoughts…
I am not sure who needs to hear this.
When we overthink something our mind just keeps going and going. I understand the process all too well and it took me a long time to trust myself enough to train my mind no to interfere with the alignment process that we are all here to grasp, learn and see through. It may take a long time. Here’s the thing, like anything else it takes practice. We just have to catch ourself and redirect where our thoughts are going.
“A person who thinks all the time has nothing to think about except thoughts, so he loses touch with reality and lives in a world of illusions”…I have no idea who stated this quote. I saw it online and it made me want to write about it. I am sure this may speak volumes to someone reading it as well. As an extreme Intuitive I go with the flow and write about something that I feel strongly about and then my universe will just keep stabbing at me to write. You never know who needs to read it. So here it goes.
Has someone ever told you to stop “Over thinking” something? What in the actual fuck does that mean anyway? The first time someone told me that I wanted so badly to stop and say…Did you ever think that I am just a “thinker”? So let’s de-bunk this process and just go with the fact that I like to think things through before I do something or I need to be really sure about something instead of making an impulsive decision that I may regret. There’s a fine line between these two. One can argue that over-thinking leads to chaos and making an impulsive decision may lead to regret. Either or I think it’s pretty safe to say that an over-thinker normally does not take the road leading to an impulsive action, which may be extremely beneficial. If there is something that you can’t stop thinking about you are either having a hard time letting go of the past or you are worrying about the future. I said I was going to de-bunk this and I promise you that I am going to. Every human being on this planet is always thinking about something. The mind is extremely powerful and you have heard me say that very often in my blogs. Our mind is the gateway into our reality. If we are having a hard time letting something go or we are constantly worrying about our future we are not living in the moment. That is key here! To live in the present, in the moment; thinking about whatever you are doing at this moment. It is hard. It’s probably one of the absolute hardest things to train our minds to do.
I was out shopping this weekend with my husband and I was walking around the store getting exactly what we needed and going by a list. The list made things a lot easier because we thought it through before we left the house and that took away from having to think too much about what we were getting. As we were walking around I felt lots of stress, worry and fear. I had an image of hundreds of brains about to burst! No joke, that is what it felt like. My point is, what if we treated our minds like a list about to go shopping and taking the pressure off in knowing exactly what we want? Does this make sense to you? Start journaling friends! Each and every morning before you leave the house make time to get your thoughts out on paper. Whatever comes to your mind write it down. It may be something you are thinking too much about. Get it down on paper and let it go. If you are worrying about the future write this… “Just for today, I will not worry”, each day try to stop worrying a little less and just go with the flow. The next day will be a new day and not one filled with worrying about yesterday. Live in the moment as much as you can, leave the past where it belongs and stop worrying about the future. Your future is already mapped out for you, you just have to trust that.
Love and Light, Always!
